Our in person course is an advanced class designed to be Workshop style, with lots of hands on one-on-one time with your Instructor and a maximum of 6 - 8  students.  These classes are mostly held at our Training Centers in either Montreal or Toronto based on demand.  Class participants must be experienced Estheticians with recent facial massage experience and are required to demonstrate a high degree of professional maturity and ability to follow hygiene procedures that are necessary for intra-oral techniques. 

Participants will also need a practice model in the afternoon for all three days.  If travelling from outside Montreal to attend this class and need help finding practice models, please contact us for help in securing practice models after you have ensured you meet the eligibility criteria and have registered.

Our Registration Policies for In-Person Classes

If you are attending an in-person class, you are responsible for ensuring that you have arranged to have  live practice models for the afternoon of your class and be willing to practice on more than one person.  It is also your responsibility to coordinate directly with your volunteer practice model to ensure the volunteer is an appropriate choice, has no major contra-indications (ex. contagious illness, nervous conditions, mobility issues, ect), you have agreed together what day and time they will be volunteering, and have read and signed the Informed Consent form (if appropriate) which they must bring with them.   Male volunteers are not appropriate for Level 1 nor for Level 3.

Students must prove basic proficiency of protocols, techniques, comply with all hygiene standards (for Level II and Level III) and demonstrate a high degree of professional judgement and professional behavior to be eligible for a Certificate of Completion.  If a student attend the entire course but is unable to prove proficiency in the most important aspects, they will receive a written attestation that they can use to claim CEU hours.  They might also be asked to fulfill the Instructor's additional requirements such as practicing on more people upon completion of Level I to ensure readiness for Level II or Level III.  you.  Often students who already have experience in facial massage chose nonetheless to enroll in Level 1 because they wish to learn Maureen's particular approach. If you claim that you already have proficiency in providing a full facial massage as a stand alone service to your existing clients, and wish to be exempt from taking Level 1, if our Instructor discovers that you do not have the proficiency you claimed, you might not be eligible to compete the course or be awarded a Certificate of Completion.  

Professional and respectful conduct and adherence to all hygiene protocols and group practice including fulfilling the requirement to practice on more than one model per class is required. Our Instructors reserve the right to remove a student whose behavior is dangerous, unprofessional or is disrespectful to the models, other students, or Instructor with no refund provided.  Please plan to arrive healthy, well rested, and ready to learn and practice in a group setting.  In keeping with our policies of mutual respect, pictures can only be taken with the expressed consent of both the Instructor and the model, and no video recording of teaching or practice sessions is allowed.  Students who are aware of these policies and attempt to deceptively make video recordings of the Instructor's demonstrations will be asked to leave the class immediately with no refund.

Students who enroll using our partial payment plan are responsible for ensuring that their second payment is made in full  no later than two weeks before the class starts.  Because of the small number of students accepted in these classes, we do not refund enrollments to students who default on any of the above terms since once you register that space has been reserved for you.  Arrangements can be made, however, to attend a future class if urgent personal or medical circumstances prevent you from attending a course for which you are registered.  A doctor's note or proof of personal emergency is required.  There is a 50% admin fee for refunds provided to students who register and pay in full then find that they cannot fulfill our Registration Policies.

By enrolling in one of our classes, you are agreeing to our above mentioned policies and understand that a willful disregard for the above will result in the students being asked to leave the course with no refund provided.

Once a Practitioner studies with us, they assume all professional and legal responsibility for how our course material is implemented in their studio, practice or clinic.  It is always the responsibility of the Practitioner to ensure they meet any legal, insurance, or practical requirements of their association, if pertinent, when implementing any new techniques taught in a continuing education course.

What is included in the In Person classes ? ​

​

1) For Levels 1 & 2, a copy of the full color Workbook containing images facial muscle groups, facial lymphatic system, as well as close up images of every technique taught in the course with detailed step by step explanations authored by your Instructor, Maureen "Hannah" Maher.   For Level 3, students have access to the Workbook online, which can be downloaded and printed.  If you are enrolled in Level 3 Sculpting, we encourage you to bring your printed copy of the Workbook with you to the Hands-On Practice Day.

2) A jar of organic coconut oil to use during class for hands-on practice and along with disposable gloves, and everything else you will need to practice giving treatments.

3) An assortment of facial oils for different skin types are available for use in class to practice with according to skin type to learn how to better personalize your treatments. 

4)  For Levels 1 & 2, a synthetic doll face to practice locating facial muscles and lymphatic system and to take home afterwards for further practice is provided.  For Level 3 students, you should have already ordered one when you began the online learning portion of the course.  Options for online ordering are provided in the online course material.

5)  For Level 3 Sculpting, a template of forms with step by step instructions to use during your New Client Consultation to ensure your clients is happy and becomes a return customer, as well as a Client Intake & Health History Form template that you can use in your clinic/spa is provided in the online course material.  You will be asked to follow this approach if you wish to be eligible for a Certificate of Completion

6) Demonstration of a full array of techniques with group practice and practice on volunteer models.  Each student must ensure they have a practice model for their class participation (female only).  If you are attending a class from out of town and need assistance, we do advertise and often have several volunteers available.  However, you msut contact us prior to the course date to ensure that a volunteer has been assigned to you.

6) All hygiene and disinfectant materials are provided.  All students are required to follow standard hygiene procedures reflective of any intro-oral procedure at all times in class.

6)  Attestation of CEU hours or Certificate of Completion is sent to you electronically that you can print and display in your clinic or spa, or submit for CEU credits, after the course if the student demonstrates basic proficiency in technique, hygiene protocols, and professional judgement.

The Instructor for this course is Maureen "Hannah" Maher, Osteopath, Massage Therapist, and Esthetician.

Maureen was an Esthetician and Technical Trainer for some of the leading beauty care companies in Canada and the USA before becoming an Osteopath and Massage Therapist.

Maureen teaches course in Women's Health & Holistic Beauty across Canada and online. Her approach is always holistic. Her courses combine her great knowledge of anatomy and physiology with her love of beauty care and a desire to share her skills and knowledge with others in an engaging and dynamic way.
